Takara, the newest Kidd pirate, stood beside Killer her mouth hung open in shock. Her Captain stood infront of his crew his stance screamed out power, confidence, and authority. A malicious grin grew on his lips as he stared foward at the pirates' threat. A demon.
This is nothing for Captain Kid though. He always claims that he can defeat the devil himself. Now is his chance to prove himself, and all his power. The demon, however wore the same grin, but his eyes were screaming with promise of pain, misery, and death. This demon will make sure no one survives.
"What is your business here, human?" It hissed out.
"We need to pass, and you're in the way. Move." Eustass answered.
"You'll have to defeat me." It stated. "However, you won't have a chance. Anyone who has come for a fight has never won."
"Until today. Demon."
Takara held on to her arm in nervousness. This was not a good idea, and surely the rest of the crew were probably thinking the same thing. She took a quick glance to her captain, as he readied himself for a battle, then turned to Killer. She whispered to her crewmate; "I have a bad feeling about this. What if he loses?"
"He won't. He'll protect us." Killer reasurred the girl. "We'll be fine."
Oh how wrong he was. Takara knew better. Still she racked through her mind for any ideas for backup. She is indeed experienced in these kinds of problems she's only seen it happen a few times before with others. She knows how dangerous this is. If things go wrong she will have to jump in to save her captain, which he won't like too much.
On with the battle, Eustass took his ground, and waited for the right chance to attack. The demon, however made no intention on moving, or being the first to attack. He stood there on its haunches its arms hanging loosely infront of its form. It's body was dark, the color of the darkness at night. Almost nightmarish. Around it's form seemed to be darkness dancing around it which gave a rather creepy feel for everyone.
"You first, Human." It hissed out again.
"Ready to die?" Eustass asked, as he started for the demon.
Surprisingly enough, there was plenty of metal around for the captain to use as a good weapon, however when hitting the demon his metal arm went right through the creature. Not good. The Captain jumped back preparing for another attack. Upon attacking the demon a few more times Eustass realized this won't work, and for a split second he didn't think this would turn out well. Shaking the thought from his mind, Eustass came in for another attack only to have a paw looking hand coming down hitting Kidd, and sending him into a tree.
"Captain!" His crew yelled out, worried for his being.
"You won't defeat me. Just give up." It snickered wickedly.
"I will not give up." Eustass stood up, dusted himself off.
"Hm. My turn." The creature growled out, before going after the captain at an unhumanly speed.
This took the captain by surprised, and he was sent into multipule trees. The crew gasped out at the attack, but quickly guarded themselves ready for the being to attack them. Turning slowly to the crew members the demon licked it's lips enjoying watching their panic rise. The Kidd pirates shouldn't panic so quickly, but this was a completely different enemy they were facing this time. Their captain couldn't lay one attack on the thing!
"Like I said; You won't defeat me. Now die." It said.
The demon then ran for the crew, and just when they were about to attack the demon disappeared before them. "Where did it go?!" One yelled out.
Suddenly the crew felt as if they were being blown back, and when they couldn't hold their ground they went flying back into the trees. This was not suppose to happen. The Kidd pirates were strong. No one could defeat them this easily! Takara still stood beside Killer, who the two had moved a way in time. Killer readied his blades for an attack.
"Are you crazy? That thing just sent our Captain and crew into the trees with no effort at all! You can't attack it that way!"
"I have to try! Stay back, Takara." Killer took a step forward.
The demon stood still watching the pirate's action. It decided to humor the human it could still have a bit more fun, before he devours all their souls. Killer took a running start heading straight toward the monster, his blades spinning. Unfortunetly all he did was run through the creature, and straight for a tree. Using the tree he jumped to it, and off of it flying to the demon. His blades spun quickly ready to slice his target, but his target moved to the side and it's paw hand smacked him sending him down, and hit the ground hard. Takara gasped out, this wasn't good. Why did her captain have to choose this way?
"You're next, my lovely." The demon stalked towards Takara.
"Stay away from her, bastard. I'm not finished with you yet."
The demon turned to see the captain of the Kidd pirates standing there still looking strong, and unwavering. He began walking to the monster a grin still on his lips. Takara was worried for her captain, though. He couldn't possibly think he could defeat this creature with just the power of a devil fruit? It won't work.
"I thought I killed you. Oh well, I guess I'll have to do worse to you." The demon stated.
The next thing the two pirate's seen was the demon the size of an average human. Oh great, this can't be good. It's not like Takara hasn't been thinking of this since they ran into the creature.
"Ah, that'll do. Now I can kick your ass." Eustass laughed out, gathering more metal to attack with.
"Captain, please be careful!" Takara yelled out.
"Watch me I'll defeat him, and we'll be able to move on."
"That's what you think." The demon snorted, before racing to Eustass with it's claws out-stretched.
Expecting this to happen, Kidd threw his fist to the demon, however the demon evaded by disappearing, and then reappearing before Kidd his claws slicing down his exposed chest. Kidd stepped back clutching his chest with his free hand as blood seemed to explode out of his wounds. That's it. Takara started running towards her captain. She was going to help him no matter what he says.
"Captain!"
"You fool! Stay back!"
"No, I'm going to help you!"
Takara kneeled down to Kidd only to have her captain grip the collar of her shirt. "I said stay back! I'll handle it!"
"With a wounded chest? Right. I'm helping. I know what I'm doing!"
"Humans, I enjoy your arguing, but it's getting on my nerves. I'm going to eat your souls now." The demon started for the two.
Takara pulled away Eustass' hand, and pulled out a cross. "Not if I can do anything about it."
She waited till the demon was closer. "What can you do? You're pathetic, a human. Nothing can stop me."
"I know what can defeat you, and I know how much you demons hate this." She gripped her cross, a gift from her grandmother who told her to always keep it with her.
'You never know when you'll need it.'
The demon hissed out, "Keep that wretched thing from me. You stupid human!"
"I won't! I intend to defeat you!" She stated stepping closer. "You will no longer harm my crew. Leave us alone, leave this place!"
"Never!" It thrashed around.
"Takara!"
Taking careful steps she reached the demon, and was ready to finish up. Just as she was about to place the cross on it's forehead it suddenly lashed out giving Takara three wounds on her left cheek. Keeping her ground she tried again, however the demon would not allow this. It tackled the girl to the ground it's hand around her throat attempting to choke her to death. This was very hard for Takara, for she couldn't concentrate of her hand with the cross. After every passing second her lungs burned with the pain of not being able to get air in them.
"Takara, you fool!" Eustass spat.
With his booted foot he slammed it into the demon's side hoping to get it off his crew member. It didn't work, but only made the situation worse, as the demon's hand clenched tighter. Why was she not dead yet?
"Takara! Fight!"
Barely able to hear her captain she forced her hand up placing the cross on the demon's arm that had the hand around her throat. A scorching sound, and smoke came from the arm the demon ripped it away, and cried out in pain. Taking deep breaths of air the girl stood, and made her way to the distracted demon. Finally getting a chance she place the cross on it's forehead.
"Demon from hell leave this place. Now! Never return!"
"Get it off! Get it off! It burns!!"
"Now! Leave this world! You are finished!"
"You can't! You can't defeat me! Oh it burns!"
Takara gritted her teeth. "By the power of my Lord, leave this world, and never return!"
"No! It burns!"
The demon then swatted at Takara pushing her back again, and jumping ontop of her. "I'll eat your skin away, then your organs. Your soul last! I will make you suffer!"
"By the power of my Lord I Command you to leave! Now! Never return, demon!"
"NO!" It yelled out leaning down, and biting her shoulder.
"Dahh!!" Takara cried out in pain, but the cross still remained on it's forehead. "Leave this world, demon! With the power of my Lord you shall leave, now! Do not return evil demon! Never!"
Finally the demon stopped all actions, it's eyes wide in pain. A sudden screech sounded from deep within it's throat, as it's body started to evaporate into the air. Once the demon had completly disappeared Takara sat up slowly carefully holding her shoulder. She turned to her captain to see he had lost consiousness. This still doesn't look good, though. She had a bad wound, and if she passes out...
Takara slowly opened her eyes once she gained consiousness. The noise of chattering was heard, and she glanced around. Her crew seemed to be fine, however she could see bandages on them. She heard someone come up behind her, so she turned slightly.
"Trafalgar Law? How?" He sat beside her giving her an amused grin.
"I saw what you did with the creature. I'm impressed. It's interesting to see someone who believes in a god that is with a pirate crew, to top that off with the Kidd pirates."
Takara narrowed her eyes to the man crossing her arms. "My family and I are christians. I grew up in such a home, and after that perfomance, I can't deny that there is no God. He's saved my life many times."
"I see. Still, very impressive. Kidd certainly grabbed himself a true treasure*."
Takara smiled to the Heart pirate captain. "Thanks. So, you were the one that helped us?"
"Indeed."
"Thank you." She gave him an one armed hug.
"So, now that you're awake. How's your shoulder?"
Takara turned her gaze to her shoulder. She moved it slightly to inspect it. She hissed out in pain. "It hurts bad."
Law nodded. "I wouldn't be surprised if it gave you a good scar."
"That's okay. Battle scars are good."
"Damn it Law! Stay away from her. What are you doing any way?" Eustass barked out as he made his way over.
"Checking up on her." Law stated calmly, ignoring the command for once.
"And you, didn't I tell you to stay back?!" He questioned Takara.
"Yes, and I didn't listen, Which led to me saving your ass!" She huffed out.
"What was that? Back talk?"
"Only answering your question, Captain."
"I'll leave you two alone then." Law added in, before getting up, and evading the scene.
"Sounded like back talk. I could've handled it."
"Right, you passed out before I defeated the demon!"
"I saw everything!"
"Right."
"And why didn't you kill it sooner?"
"Uh, didn't you see it was chocking me, and it freaking bit me on my shoulder!"
"I hit dozens of trees, and came back just fine!"
"After like ten minutes!"
"Less than that! Are you implying something?!"
"Captain, Takara? I suggest you two save your energy. You two were injured worse." Killer stated as he came up.
"Are you okay, Killer?" Takara asked, checking over her friend.
"I'm fine. Thanks."
"What? You ask him how is, but you don't ask me?!"
Takara started to twitch. Kidd was started to piss her off. She turned to her captain. "Are you okay, Captain Kidd?"
"Yes."
Takara shook her head. "Captain, you're insane."
"Indeed I am." He smirked. "I did take on the devil himself."
"But you didn't defeat him. I did."
"You only helped!"
"Omg! Kidd! Do you have to be like that?!"
"It's Captain Kidd! And yes!"
"Oh geez." Killer shook his head walking away.
"You're such a jerk!"
"You're such a bitch!"
"I can't stand you!"
"I can't stand you!"
"Miss Takara, Mr. Kidd. Will you two please quiet down! We'll be spotted by the marines with this yelling going on."
"The two just needs to get a room." Shachi added on.
Catching this, Takara turned away from Kidd a blush upon her cheeks. Kidd turned away too, ignoring the fact that he too is blushing.
"Thanks for saving our asses. You've got guts kid." He muttered loud enough for her to hear.
Thinking she misheard him, Takara glanced up to her captain, only to smile brightly, and nodding. "You're welcome, Captain."
